Congratulations to our students!
Last Friday, we had our 8th Grade Band Night/Dancing Cubs! We had a blast, and we hope that our guests did too. We look forward to having the 8th graders as future members of the Marching Pride! Special thank you to Ms. Ashley Crosby and Mr. Paxon Roan for bringing their students from CMS and CPMS to come and play with the Marching Pride. We’d also like to thank Mrs. Annamarie Magdaleno for organizing our Dancing Cubs fundraiser! On Saturday, the Marching Pride competed at the Naples Southwest Florida Games Marching Band Competition. Our students had a great performance, we hope you didn’t miss it! The Marching Pride placed 1st in Class 5A and won Grand Champion! They won Best Music, Visual, General Effect, Percussion, and Auxiliary in Class 5A and Best Overall Music, Visual, Percussion and Auxiliary. We are so proud of our students! Keep up the hard work and congratulations! We want to thank all our band staff and parent volunteers who came out to support the Marching Pride at Friday’s game and Saturday’s competition. As you can see, it takes a lot to run a program of 182 students. We were so thankful to have so many parents help with truck crew and chaperoning. Our Concession Crew did an amazing job feeding over 250 band students on Friday! On Saturday, we were so thankful for our truck crew parents who loaded and transported all our props and equipment for our students. And we’re always so thankful to have our chaperones there to help assist students with various needs while we travel. Thank you, Eileen Fuentes, Sandra Llorca, Erika Guerra, Daniel Guerra, Bill Strom, Arthur Feria, Tatiana Ryan, Michelle Jones, and Nidia Law, for their leadership with our Band Boosters and parent volunteers. Thank you all for volunteering your time and for supporting our students and the Marching Pride! This week is another big week! We have a Band Booster Meeting on Monday at 7:00pm in the band room.
