Congratulations to our students who participated in this year’s State Solo & Ensemble MPA!
  • Ellie Carvajal, flute solo – Superior
  • Anna Hudson, piano solo - Excellent
  • Christian Marimon, marimba solo – Excellent
  • Paige Brokopp, Ellie Carvajal, Nayelis Gomez, Taylor Kissane, and Clarisa Nieto, flute choir – Superior
  • Daniella Ceballos and Olivia Strom, clarinet duet – Excellent
Thank you for all of your hard work! We hope to feature some of you at the Mid-Year Band Concert.


We are still waiting to receive ratings for State Auxiliary MPA.


Grades for the 3rd Quarter have been updated and posted on Focus. Please contact Mrs. Robinson if you have any concerns.


We’d like to thank Band Booster President Mr. Anthony Rowtie, the rest of our Band Boosters, and all of our parent volunteers who helped out with the Collier County Fair. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and support for the Marching Pride!

Monday (3/29)
  • Virtual Learning Day for students/Teacher Plan Day
Tuesday (3/30)
  • Wind Ensemble, 2:15-3:30pm
  • Drumline Club, 4:30-6:30pm
Wednesday (3/31)
  • Symphonic Wind Symphony, 2:15-3:15pm
  • Symphonic Band, 3:15-4:15pm
  • Auxiliary Rehearsal, 4:00-6:00pm
Friday (4/2)
  • No School
 
Concert Band After School Rehearsals: After school rehearsals for all three concert bands will continue this week. All woodwind and brass students will be required to wear their music masks at these rehearsals. Students who do not have a music mask will have to purchase one for $15. Percussion students are required to wear a mask as well, but they are not required to wear the “music mask.”


Mid-Year Band Concert (Thurs. April 8): The PRHS Bands will hold their Mid-Year Band Concert in the auditorium on Thursday, April 8th. The concert will feature all three concert bands and both jazz bands. Jazz Band 2 and Symphonic Band will perform at 6:30pm, Jazz Band 1 and Symphonic Wind Symphony will perform at 7:30pm, and Wind Ensemble will perform at 8:30pm. There is no admission charge, however tickets will be required for admission. Each student will be given 2 tickets for each concert they are performing in. This will help to ensure that audience members can be socially distant during the concert. Masks will also be required by all in attendance at all times. All band students will be required to be in attendance for all 3 performances. More information will be given at a later time.


2021-2022 Marching Pride Information Meeting (Mon. April 12): An information meeting for the 2021-2022 Marching Pride Season will be held on Monday, April 12th in the gymnasium. This meeting will most likely be split into 2-3 sessions to ensure that all those in attendance can be socially distant. More information will be provided at a later time.


Collier County Concert Band Festival (Fri. April 16): Collier County is holding a Concert Band Festival at Gulf Coast High School on April 16. This Festival will allow performing bands to have a live performance for their parents and judges. After each performance, the bands will get to work with one of the judges in a clinic. Mrs. Robinson will be taking the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Wind Symphony to this festival. More information will come when it’s provided. All concert bands are still doing recordings for Concert MPA.


Rhythm of the Pride Recital (Tues. April 27): The auxiliary team and percussion students will hold their end of the year recital on Thursday, April 27th.  Tickets will be sold at $5, but there will be a limit to how many tickets can be sold. Each student will have the opportunity to purchase 2 tickets. This will help to ensure that audience members can be socially distant during the recital. Masks will also be required by all in attendance at all times. More information will be given at a later time.

Welcome back, we hope you all had a wonderful spring break!
 
Congratulations to our Dance Team and their coach Mrs. Magdaleno! The team competed at the Bravo Dance Competition on Sunday, March 14th and earned an Elite High Gold rating on their performance!
 
Congratulations to our Varsity Guard who competed in the Virtual FFCC Competition on Saturday, March 13th. The team earned a Superior rating on their performance and placed 2nd in Class AAA!
 
This week our auxiliary groups and band students will submit their videos for State Solo & Ensemble/Auxiliary MPA. Good luck to all of our participating students!
 
Symphonic Band students will start their after school rehearsals this week.

Congratulations to our All County Honor Band students: Ellie Carvajal, Remington Newton, Paige Brokopp, Taylor Kissane, Clarisa Nieto, Olivia Strom, and AJ Sweigart. Both All County Bands had great performances this past Saturday night and we were so proud of all students involved. Thank you to those who were able to watch the concert either in person or online.
 
Auxiliary students are being reminded that they are all recording their State MPA videos this week.

Band Video Interviews: Mrs. Robinson is putting together a promotional video for the Marching Pride, which will be sent to the middle school band directors. Band students who signed up to be interviewed are asked to wear a band t-shirt. Auxiliary students will be interviewed after spring break.
