Cookie Dough Fundraisers were due last week Friday. If you have not already done so, please turn in your orders by Monday. We’re starting another trip fundraiser this week, a Car Wash Fundraiser. More information will be provided via email.
 
Registration for the 2018 Band Trip is now open. An additional email will be sent providing registration information. 
 
Our Rhythm of the Pride Recital is this Thursday, May 3rdat 6:30pm in the gym. Admission is $5. Please come out and support our auxiliary and percussion students.
 
Our Wind Ensemble has their State MPA performance this Friday, May 4that Broward College. We still need at least 1 parent chaperone for this event. Please email Mrs. Robinson if you’re available. Good luck to all students involved!

Cookie Dough Trip Fundraiser:Please turn in your orders by Monday if you have not already done so. A delivery date cannot be determined until all orders are placed. Please help out by turning in your orders. When a delivery date is determined, Mrs. Robinson will send out a message via email, Facebook and Twitter.
 
 
Car Wash Trip Fundraiser:We will be selling car wash tickets from April 30ththrough May 11th. All of the profits from pre-sold tickets can be applied towards your student’s 2018 Band Trip to Chicago. Student and parent volunteers will be needed for this fundraiser. Students can sign up to volunteer in the band room. Parents interested in helping, please email Mr. Buddy Rainey at buddyrainey2@gmail.com. More information will be provided in a separate email. 
 
 
2018-2019 Marching Pride Commitment Forms & Band Fees:Commitment forms and band fees for band students are due by Thursday, May 3rd. Auxiliary students will turn in their commitment forms and fees by Friday, May 18th. A commitment can be found under the "Students" tab of this website under 2018-2019 Info.
 
 
Rhythm of the Pride:This recital performance will feature our percussion and auxiliary students. The event will start at 6:30pm in the PRHS gym and admission is $5. We will be selling concessions and Shout Outs. Please come out to support or auxiliary and percussion students! Student and parent volunteers will be needed for this event. Students can sign up to volunteer in the band room. Parents interested in helping, please email Mr. Buddy Rainey at buddyrainey2@gmail.com.
 
 
Concert Band State MPA:Our Wind Ensemblewill be performing atState MPA on Friday, May 4th.The band will travel to Broward College for their performance. All Wind Ensemble students will rehearse during 2ndperiod in the band room before we leave. Please remember to bring your $10 for the charter bus, concert band attire, a lunch to eat on the bus, and dinner money for Sawgrass Mill.We will leave PRHS around 10:00am, perform at 1:30pm and return to PRHS around 6:00pm. We need at least one parent volunteer to chaperone. Please email Mrs. Robinson at robina2@collierschools.com if you can attend.
 
 
Daileen Alfonso Scholarship Applications Due:Seniors who are interested in applying for the Daileen Alfonso Scholarship Award need to turn in their applications by Friday, May 4th. A copy of the application was sent via email and is also available in the band room.  
 
 
2018-2019 Auxiliary Auditions:We will be holding Auxiliary auditions at PRHS on May 7, 9, and 10 4:00-8:00pm. Students interested in joining next year’s auxiliary section are required at attend all three days! Please email Mrs. Robinson at robina2@collierschools.comto register! (New students who turned in their Yellow New Member Registration Form do not have to email Mrs. Robinson.) Flag Workshops will be held forall new students interested in auditioning for the Auxiliary Team. These workshops will be on May 1 & 3 from 5:00-6:30pm in the band room. Please email Mrs. Robinson for more information.

2018-2019 Band Placements:Thank you to all of our incoming freshmen who came to audition! Unfortunately, we won’t be able to post the 2018-2019 band placements until after the commitment forms are turned in on May 3rd. We apologize for the delay.
 
 
2018-2019 Band Camp Dates:Band Camp 2018 will be Monday, July 30th through August 3rd 8:00am-4:00pm and Monday, August 6th and Tuesday, August 7th 8:00am-4:00pm and Wednesday, August 8th through August 10th 1:00-8:30pm. Please note that all students are starting on Monday, July 30th!
 
 
Important Dates to Remember:Please take special note to a few dates on the calendar:

  • Jazz Band Auditions will be held after school on Tuesday, May 8th. Interested middle school students should email Mrs. Robinson for audition music and an audition time. Current students can pick up audition music and sign up for an audition in the band room.
  • TheSpring Band Concert will be on Tuesday, May 15that 6:30pm. This concert will feature all concert bands, jazz bands and percussion. Free admission. Please save the date!
  • The2018 Band Awards Banquetis on Saturday, May 19th. The awards ceremony will start at 4:00pm in the auditorium. The dinner and dance will start at 6:00pm and end at 9:00pm in the cafeteria. Please make sure to RSVP by May 1st. A separate email will be sent for more information. 
  • The2018 PRHS Graduation Ceremonywill be on Friday, May 25th. All of the non-graduating band students will be performing at this event. More information will be provided when it’s received. 
 
 
Parent Volunteers Needed:  

  • Band Booster Board Members.  Our Band Boosters are looking for parents who are interested in joining the board. Please email Mrs. Yates at aaayates@aol.comfor more information. Our next Booster Meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 14th. 
  • Rhythm of the Pride will be on Thursday, May 3rd. Parent volunteers will be needed to help sell concessions. Please email Mr. Rainey at bud1025@embarqmail.comif you’re able to help out. 
  • TheWind Ensemble will be performing atState MPA on Friday, May 4th.  Please email Mrs. Robinson at robina2@collierschools.comif you’re able to help chaperone.  
  • The Band Boosters will be hosting a special lunch for the PRHS Teachers and Staff on Monday, May 7thfor Teacher Appreciation Week. Parent volunteers will be needed to help serve the meals. If you’re available to help, please contact Mrs. Yates at aaayates@aol.com.

Congratulations to all of our students who auditioned for the 2018-2019 Marching Pride Percussion! We enjoyed meeting our students and are looking forward to next season! Please keep practicing!

New Students: New students who are receiving this email are now registered for our weekly updates. This means that we have received your Yellow New Member Registration Form. This weekly update is sent every Sunday and will include reminders for all of our upcoming events.
 
 
Cookie Dough Trip Fundraiser: Our first trip fundraiser started last week Monday. Please turn in your orders by Friday, April 27th. We will be selling cookie dough and other various items. Students will have the opportunity to put 40% of everything they sell towards next year’s trip.
 
 
After School Concert Band Rehearsals: Wind Symphony, Symphonic Winds and Symphonic Band will resume after school rehearsals this week on April 24th and April 25th. Please check the band calendar for more details. 
 
 
2018-2019 Auxiliary Auditions: We will be holding Auxiliary auditions at PRHS on May 7, 9, and 10 4:00-8:00pm. Students interested in joining next year’s auxiliary section are required at attend all three days! Krispy Kreme Fundraiser: Thank you to everyone who participated in this fundraiser. We sold over 600 boxes! If you have not turned in your order, please do so by Monday. We’re hoping to have the donuts delivered later this week, possibly Thursday. Once this date is confirmed, we will notify families.
 
 
Cookie Dough Trip Fundraiser: Our first trip fundraiser will start on Monday, April 16th and go till Friday, April 27th. We will be selling cookie dough and other various items. Students will have the opportunity to put 40% of everything they sell towards next year’s trip. More information will be provided via email.
 
 
Band Playing Tests: All wind players grades 9-11 will be taking a playing test on April 16-19. These tests will be given during class, lunch and after school.
 
 
Uniform Measurements: DeMoulin, the marching band uniform company making our new band uniforms will be at the school on Tuesday, April 17th. We will be measuring all returning students for their new uniforms. Incoming freshmen will not need to be measured since they typically grow significantly between 8th and 9th grade.  This is the only day DeMoulin will be able to measure our returning students. Students who do not get measured will still get a uniform next year. It just helps to get as many students measured as possible.
 
 
2018-2019 Percussion Auditions: Auditions will be hosted in the PRHS band room on April 17th from 4:30-6:00pm, April 18th 5:00-7:00pm and April 19th 5:00-7:00pm. Students interested in joining next year’s percussion section are required at attend all three days! Please email Mrs. Robinson at robina2@collierschools.com to register. Students should bring their snare sticks and a practice pad if they have one. (We will have extras for students who do not own either.)
 
 
2018-2019 Incoming Freshmen Wind Auditions: Auditions will be hosted in the PRHS band room on April 18th 4:00-6:00pm and April 19th 4:00-6:00pm. These auditions are not required. Incoming freshmen that play a wind instrument may choose to audition into a higher-level band by scheduling a band placement audition. Incoming freshmen who do not audition will automatically be placed into Symphonic Band. To schedule an audition, please email Mrs. Annabelle Robinson at robina2@collierschools.com. An appointment is required to audition.
 
 
After School Concert Band Rehearsals: Wind Symphony, Symphonic Winds and Symphonic Band will resume after school rehearsals on April 24th and April 25th. Please check the band calendar for more details.
