University of South Florida Summer Music CampsMiddle School and High School Band Camp, June 19-13: The USF Summer Band Camp provides experiences and opportunities for woodwind, brass, and percussion students to expand their individual and ensemble musicianship skills. Students will receive instruction from USF's outstanding faculty and students, as well as talented teachers from the Greater Tampa Bay Area.
Jazz Camp: Honors Big Band, June 15-18: The Jazz Camp will include USF Jazz Faculty Tom Brantley (USF Jazz Ensemble I director and Trombone Studio Professor), James Suggs (Jazz Trumpet and Director) of USF Jazztet, Larue Nickleson (USF Combo Director and Jazz Guitar), and Pablo Arencibia (Jazz Piano). Big Band, jazz combos, improvisation classes, and masterclasses. High School Band and Orchestra Camp, June 23-27: The USF Summer High School Band and Orchestra Camp provides experiences and opportunities for strings, woodwind, brass, and percussion students to expand their individual and ensemble musicianship skills. Students will receive instruction from USF's outstanding faculty and students, as well as talented teachers from the Greater Tampa Bay Area.Open to all students with at least one full year of study on their instrument; students will submit a brief video audition for ensemble placement only. Drumline & Front Ensemble Camp, July 7-11: The University of South Florida Summer Drumline Camp provides percussion students with experiences that will allow them to expand their musicianship at the individual and ensemble levels. The focus of our camp centers around techniques related to Snare Drum, Tenor Drums, Bass Drums, and Front Ensemble. Throughout the week, campers will refine basics in technique and musicality. In addition to fundamentals, campers will learn integrated exercises and full ensemble music that will be performed at Friday's exhibition. |
UCF School of Performing Arts Camps and ClinicsClarinet Boot Camp, June 13-15: UCF's Clarinet Boot Camp is a three-day, intensive program designed to educate and inspire young clarinetists. In addition to the daily curriculum, guest artists will conduct classes.
Flute Boot Camp, June 13-15: UCF's Flute Boot Camp is a three-day, intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists. In addition to the daily curriculum, guest artists will conduct classes. Flute & Piccolo Summer Institute, June 16-20: UCF’s Summer Flute & Piccolo Institute is a one-week intensive program designed to educate and inspire young flutists through an interesting and cultivating curriculum that examines many aspects of flute and piccolo performance. Percussion Summer Institute (June 22-28): UCF's Percussion Summer Institute offers a unique opportunity to study closely with UCF percussion faculty members and guest artists. Brass Camp, July 10-12: UCF Brass Camp is a four-day program, recommeded for intermediate to advanced students, designed to educate and inspire young brass players. The curriculum will focus on the important aspects of brass technique and musicianship in performance. |
Stetson University Summer Music CampsClarinet Clinic, June 9-14: Clarinet clinic is a vibrant week of intense study of clarinet pedagogy and performance. Open to students grades 6-12, participants play in a clarinet choir and chamber ensembles.
Double Reed Workshop, June 9-14: Open to oboist and bassoonists grades 7-12, Double Reed Workshop is an intense six-day workshop focusing on the fundamentals of performance, including classes in reed-making techniques. Flute Workshop, June 16-21: Flutists of all levels are invited to the Stetson University campus for a week focused on all things flute, open to students grades 7-12. All-State prep, flute choir, classes, and most of all, FUN! Saxophone Workshop, June 23-28: Saxophone Workshop focuses on the fundamental principles of saxophone performance including an emphasis on playing techniques; open to students grades 7 through 12. Brass and Percussion Camp, July 7-12: Brass and Percussion Camp, open to students grades 9-12, focuses on fundamentals in brass and percussion performance, and practice. Gain experience playing in ensembles and attend masterclasses with faculty. |
Gatorland Band CampInstrumental Studio Music Camp, June 21-22: Spend two days of in-depth study on your instrument with University of Florida Wind and Percussion Faculty! Students will work on technique, solo literature, chamber music, All-State audition music, and more!
Total Musicianship Band Camp, June 22-27: The Total Musicianship Band Camp will offer instruction for all levels of middle school and high school musicians in full-band rehearsals, sectionals, master classes, chamber music and optional private lessons; along with daily electives such as music theory or improvisation! Students will be split into three bands. |
