Weekly Update

9/26/2021

It was nice to be back on the road again with our team at Naples High School. We’re looking forward to traveling again this Friday to First Baptist Academy. Call time is 5:30pm and Healthy Snack will be given at 5:00pm.

All students will have the opportunity to buy food from the concession stand at First Baptist Academy during halftime. Students must bring cash so that they can pay at the concession window.

The estimated return time to PRHS is 10:30-11:00pm for this coming Friday. Students must charge their phones so that they can call their rides. We will instruct the students to call home when we leave FBA and then again when we’re about 20 minutes away from PRHS.

We had a great rehearsal this past Saturday and accomplished a lot. Students who were not able to attend the rehearsal are reminded to complete the 3 make-up assignments on Canvas. These make-up assignments are required to be able to perform for the Homecoming and Lehigh Competition performances. Students who were not at Saturday’s rehearsal will not be able to perform at this week’s MBI performance due to the amount of material that was missed. (All students will still be required to attend MBI.) Please understand that we are at a point of the season where missed rehearsals affect the overall performance of the band.

This week’s Marchers of the Week are Carmen Ledo (woodwind), Mason Duryea (brass), Ray Patterson (percussion), Maria Sanchez (auxiliary), and Andy Bonet (officer).

This week’s Section of the Week is our Auxiliary Section, led by Captains Monika Ataman and Natalie Silguero, and Section Leaders Daniela Cadavid, Thais Chan, Haylie Nguyen, Leslie Torres, and Serenity Watson.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Krispy Kreme Fundraiser! We will let everyone know the delivery date when it’s set.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the MBI Ad Fundraiser! Programs will be sent to the printers on Monday (tomorrow), so if you still need to email your ad to Mrs. Robinson, please do so ASAP.

Last but not least, we’d like to thank all of our parent volunteers who have helped with this year’s props! Thank you to the Holmes Family, Freedline Family, Aikey Family, Subway, and Fayard Hardware for their donations. Thank you to Anthony Rowtie, Dana Rowtie, Yvonne Rowtie, Eileen Fuentes, Miguel Font, Kristian Newton, Arthur Feria, Bill Strom, and Jorge Lopez for all of your hardwork in the design and assembly! We’re looking forward to premiering this year’s props at this week’s MBI performance!
