Perseverance Respect Integrity Dedication to Excellence
The Palmetto Ridge High School Band Program is located in Naples, Florida. Performing ensembles include: the Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Jazz Band 1, Jazz Band 2, PRHS Auxiliary Team, Varsity Guard, JV Guard, and Competitive Dance. In the fall, all of these groups combine to form the Marching Pride.
The Palmetto Ridge Band and Auxiliary is one of the largest and most active student organizations on campus. We take PRIDE in our program, school and community.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support the CCPS high school bands at this year’s Collier County Band Show!
We are so thankful for all our parent volunteers who have helped with chaperoning and transporting our equipment to Lehigh and to the Band Show. Thank you so much for giving your time and support to our students!
This week we have our last home game against Riverdale. The game will also be Senior Night and a Pink Out. Please wear your pink to show your support in Breast Cancer Awareness. This Saturday, the Marching Pride has one of their biggest events of the season, District Marching Band MPA!

Virtual Learning Day (Mon. 10/25): All teachers will post an assignment for each class on Canvas for Virtual Learning Day. Please be sure to check every class online for your assignment. These assignments will be graded and count towards attendance.
Marching Band Rehearsals (Tues. 10/26 and Thurs. 10/28): We’re asking band students to wear a black shirt for Tuesday’s rehearsal and auxiliary will wear white. Students may choose to wear a costume to Thursday’s rehearsal since afterwards they have Trunk or Treat. Costumes must follow the school dress code and cannot impede the students’ ability to march, play their instrument, and/or perform. Please plan accordingly and remember your coordinate sheet, lanyard, and jug of water.
Trunk or Treat (Thurs. 10/28): The Marching Pride is hosting their Annual Trunk or Treat event on Thursday, October 28th. All students who drive to rehearsal should park in the Student Parking Lot on Thursday. The event will take place in the Faculty Parking Lot from 8:15-9:00pm. We’re looking for parents to participate by decorating their cars and passing out treats to the students. This year we’re asking all participating parents to only hand out peanut free candy. We know that this might be a small inconvenience, but it’s very important for the safety of our students. Thank you for your understanding and compliance. If you would like more information on this event, please contact our Band Booster President, Mr. Anthony Rowtie at email@example.com.
Senior Night Information: All seniors need to provide their senior night information at the link provided through email by 2:00pm on Thursday. Seniors will be recognized during halftime at Friday night’s game. Each senior will be given 2 complimentary tickets for the game. Any other tickets will need to be purchased online.
Senior Night Game vs. Riverdale HS (Fri. 10/29): Call time for this Friday’s game is 5:00pm. The band room will be closed from 2:30-4:45pm. The uniform for auxiliary will be pregame uniform, black leggings, tights, black outdoor shoes, earrings, pink bow and full hair and make-up. The uniform for band will be this year’s silver Marching Pride band t-shirt or a pink shirt, athletic shorts (any color), tall black socks or pink socks, and marching band shoes with full uniform. The band will have a post-game performance since halftime will be devoted to recognizing our seniors.
FBA District Marching MPA (Sat. 10/30): We are hosting this year’s FBA District Marching MPA on Saturday, October 30th. All students are expected to sign-up and help with either set-up or clean up. Student volunteer sign-up sheets are posted in the band room. Any parents who are interested in volunteering should contact our Head Chaperone, Ms. Eileen Fuentes at firstname.lastname@example.org. More details will be sent out in a separate email.
Band Picture Day Registration (Due by Sun. 10/31): Band pictures will be on Tuesday, November 9th. All students will have their pictures taken during class. Our photographer is asking for parent and/or student emails so that he can send out notifications to allow students and parents to view and pick out their pictures. Please register for these notifications with the link shared via email. If you want to view and/or purchase your band pictures, you must register and enter your information in the link provided by Sunday, October 31st.
Band Trip Meeting Postponed: We will have to postpone our Band Trip Meeting, which was originally scheduled for Monday, October 25th. At this time, the district has not yet approved the trip. Mrs. Robinson will schedule a meeting as soon as the trip is approved.
Instrument Repair & Equipment: Our trusted local vendors are Cadence Music (239) 275-6262 and Christman Music (239) 254-8863. If needed, please be sure to get your instrument fixed and have all your needed supplies. Christman Music visits PRHS on Mondays and Cadence Music comes on Fridays.
