Perseverance Respect Integrity Dedication to Excellence
The Palmetto Ridge High School Band Program is located in Naples, Florida. Performing ensembles include: the Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Jazz Band 1, Jazz Band 2, PRHS Auxiliary Team, Varsity Guard, JV Guard, and Competitive Dance. In the fall, all of these groups combine to form the Marching Pride.
The Palmetto Ridge Band and Auxiliary is one of the largest and most active student organizations on campus. We take PRIDE in our program, school and community.
We’d like to thank all the parent and student volunteers who came out last Friday night to help work on the props. We would like to especially thank Ms. Sue Segal from Sabal Palm Elementary for coming out to help assist with painting! We will premiere our props at our MBI performance on Saturday, October 2nd!
We’re looking forward to this week’s away game at Naples High School! Call time is 4:45pm and Healthy Snack will be given at 4:15pm. If you still want to purchase a healthy snack meal on Friday, the cost is $7. Please pay by check or exact cash.
All students will have the opportunity to buy food from the concession stand at Naples during 3rd quarter. Students must bring cash so that they can pay at the concession window.
The estimated return time to PRHS is 10:30-11:00pm for this coming Friday. Students must charge their phones so that they can call their rides. We will instruct the students to call home when we leave Naples HS and then again when we’re about 20 minutes away from PRHS.

The Alternate Travel Form can be found on the band website under the “Students” tab at: https://www.prhsbands.org/2021-2022-info.html. Homecoming Dance and the LeHigh Lightning Tournament of Bands (Sat. 10/9): The school has decided to postpone the Homecoming Dance to either December or January, therefore there are no longer any conflicts with the LeHigh Marching Competition, which has already been scheduled for Saturday, October 9th. This event has been on our calendar since May 2021. The Marching Pride will compete at LeHigh and all students are expected and required to attend. The schedule for the competition has not been released yet. As soon as we know the times, we will provide more information. Competitions are typically an all day/all night event. Culver’s Spirit Nights: The Band Boosters are cancelling the Culver’s Spirit Night fundraisers until their requirements of our student volunteers fall in line with the expectations and guidelines provided by our school district. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Concession Parent Volunteers: Just a reminder, parents who volunteer to work in our concession stand can earn $50 worth of credit towards this year’s band trip to Universal Studios. To earn the credit, parents must volunteer and work twice in concessions. The credit can only be applied to their student’s band trip account. We have only 2 home games left, but we are also offering concessions at our MBI and District Marching MPA events, which are both hosted at PRHS.
Instrument Repair & Equipment: Our trusted local vendors are Cadence Music (239) 275-6262 and Christman Music (239) 254-8863. If needed, please be sure to get your instrument fixed and have all your needed supplies. Christman Music visits PRHS on Mondays and Cadence Music comes on Fridays.
