Perseverance Respect Integrity Dedication to Excellence
The Palmetto Ridge High School Band Program is located in Naples, Florida. Performing ensembles include: the Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, Jazz Band 1, Jazz Band 2, PRHS Auxiliary Team, Varsity Guard, JV Guard, and Competitive Dance. In the fall, all of these groups combine to form the Marching Pride.
The Palmetto Ridge Band and Auxiliary is one of the largest and most active student organizations on campus. We take PRIDE in our program, school and community.
Week 1 of our 2021 Band Camp was a huge success! We’re so proud of our students for their hard work and accomplishments. We can’t wait to see everyone again for Week 2!
Week 2 of Band Camp is Spirit Week! Every day has a theme, and all students are encouraged to participate. The directors and staff will award winners to the best dressed student(s) for each day. Students should contact their section leaders or any other officer if they have questions.
Please don’t forget that we are doing the Poppin’ Popcorn Fundraiser. All students were asked by Mrs. Robinson to sell at least one item. Please do your best to participate in these fundraisers so that we can provide our students with all their needs for the school year. Students have until August 14th to sell!
At the end of each week, we recognize students who demonstrated outstanding performance, effort, and attitude. In the first week of Band Camp, we recognize one new member and one returning member from each section: woodwinds, brass, percussion, auxiliary, and officers. This week’s Marchers of the Week are: Christal Ordonez (new woodwind), Carly Gonzalez (returning woodwind), Jeremy Walsh (new brass), Rachel Trejo (returning brass), Cadence Pind (new percussion), Juan Garcia Jr. (returning percussion), Elizabeth Cuesta (new auxiliary), Damara Georges (returning auxiliary), Yulizay Figueredo (new officer), and Ellie Carvajal (returning officer).
We also recognize one outstanding section each week. This week’s Section of the Week is our Sousaphone Section, led by Section Leaders Andy Bonet and Eddie Feliciano! Congratulations to all! Please keep up the good work!
Lastly, we’d like to say thank you and good luck to Ms. Mariela Font! Ms. Font will be moving to the east coast to start her new career at West Palm Beach teaching middle school science! Thank you, Ms. Font, for all your help with our students. West Palm Beach is lucky to have you and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Once a Bear, Always a Bear!
