Congratulations to our Auxiliary Team on having a very successful District Auxiliary MPA! All of our performing ensembles and soloists earned Superior ratings and qualified for State! State Auxiliary MPA will be held on Thursday, March 23rd at Palmetto Ridge High School. Students who wish to perform their solo at State MPA must complete the attached agreement form and return it to Mrs. Robinson by Tuesday, February 28th.
Our Mid-Year Band Concert was a huge success. Thank you to all who came to support our students! This week all concert bands will have their District Concert Band MPA at Gulf Coast High School in the auditorium. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. Wind Symphony will perform at 6:00pm on Thursday March 2nd. Symphonic Winds will perform at 7:45pm on Thursday, March 2nd. Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30pm on Friday, March 3rd. There are no indoor guard practices after school this week. We will resume practices next week on Tuesday, March 7th. Good luck to our Dance Team as they prepare for the Bravo Dance Competition on Sunday, March 5th. The competition will be held at Lehigh Senior High School. Congratulations to our Varsity Guard on winning Class A Indoor Guard at the FFCC Regional Competition at Seminole Ridge High School! In addition to winning their class, Varsity Guard also earned the highest score of all performing indoor guard groups at the competition! Congratulations ladies!
Our Mid-Year Band Concert will be on Wednesday, February 22nd. The concert will start at 6:00pm with one of the Immokalee Middle School concert bands. This concert will feature two concert bands from Immokalee Middle School, Cypress Palm Middle School’s Advanced Band, Corkscrew Middle School’s Symphonic Band, all three PRHS concert bands, both PRHS jazz bands, and a few select Solo & Ensemble performances. Admission is free and our Band Boosters will be offering snacks and drinks in the lobby. Call time for all students is 5:00pm. Doors will open at 5:30pm. On Friday, our Auxiliary Team will travel to Lely High School for their District Auxiliary MPA! We have a very early call time of 5:15am. In order to get to LHS before our performance time, we have to leave PRHS very early. Students will be able to prepare their hair and make-up at Lely High School. CCPS Concert Pre-MPA (Thurs. 2/16): Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds are both performing at this year’s CCPS Concert Pre-MPA. The event will be held at Palmetto Ridge High School. This event is where our concert bands will have their first public performance in preparation for District Concert MPA. They will also receive comments from guest judges. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. Our Wind Ensemble will be performing at 5:00pm in the auditorium. Symphonic Winds is now performing at 5:45pm. Call time for Wind Ensemble is 4:00pm, call time for Symphonic Winds is 4:45pm. Students will wear their concert attire and report to the band room at call time. FFCC Varsity Guard Competition (Sat. 2/18): Varsity Guard is competing in an FFCC Regional Competition at Seminole Ridge High School on Saturday, February 18th. Mr. Claro will be traveling with the team along with parent chaperones. Call time 9:00am. Students will practice from 9:00-10:30am. Students will need to bring a packed lunch. The performance is at 3:16pm. The approximate return to PRHS is 6:00pm. Seminole Ridge is offering a variety of food, snacks, and drinks at their concession stand. They will only take CASH payments.
