Congratulations to the Senior Class of 2018! We will miss you all very dearly!

Thank you everyone, this has been a great year! Updates will be given periodically throughout the summer, just not on a weekly basis. Mrs. Robinson will be available via email at robina2@collierschools.com.

Cookie Dough Trip Fundraiser:There were about 10 students who did not pick up their Cookie Dough Fundraisers. The last opportunity to pick up your orders is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 29thfrom 1:15-2:30pm. Please plan accordingly.
 
 
2018-2019 Marching Pride Commitment Forms & Band Fees:Please turn in your commitment forms and fees ASAP if you have not already done so. Students who do not turn in their commitment forms and at least a portion of their band fee risk not having their spot written in the marching band drill! AUXILIARY STUDENTS: We plan on announcing the feature dance and rifle positions this week. If you do not turn in your commitment forms and fees, you will not be considered for a position. 
 
 
Band Lockers & Instrument Return: Band lockers will be cleaned this week and all school owned instruments are due on the day of your band final exam. Students who wish to check out their school owned instruments over the summer must do so by the end of the week.  
 
 
Senior Night Pictures:Pictures from Band Senior Night (way back in November) are available at the following link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1A2undWhZqkI2HwWvnhYlkyXtbNfgmd5I. The pictures from the band banquet will be added to this link when received. 
 
 
Senior Donations (Attire): Seniors, if you wish to donate your used marching band shoes, garment bags, or concert attire, future members of the band could use them. Please take this into consideration and contact Mrs. Robinson if you’re able to donate your items. 
 
 
2019 All County Honor Band Audition Material:The 2019 All County Honor Band audition material is available at the following link: http://www.prhsbands.org/ccps-honor-band.html. All students are encouraged to prepare the material over the summer. Certain students are required to audition in November 2018: Drum Majors, Band Captains, 1st& 2ndLieutenant Section Leaders, and all students in Wind Ensemble. 
 
 
Important Dates to Remember:Please take special note to a few dates on the calendar:
 
  • Band Officer Camp:We will have a Band Officer Camp on Wednesday, July 18thfrom 8:00am-5:00pm. We’re bringing in a special clinician for this event. Our second Band Officer Camp will be on Saturday, July 28thfrom 8:00-11:00am. Please save the date for both events. 
  • Kick Off Meeting:Our Band Camp Kick-Off Meeting will be on Saturday, July 28th. This meeting is where students will order their marching band shoes along with other attire. New members will have their meeting at 12:00noon in the auditorium. All returning members will have their meeting at 2:00pm in the auditorium. 
  • Band Camp Dates:Band Camp 2018 will be Monday, July 30th through August 3rd 8:00am-4:00pm and Monday, August 6th and Tuesday, August 7th 8:00am-4:00pm and Wednesday, August 8th through August 10th1:00-8:30pm. Please note that all students are starting on Monday, July 30th!

I hope you all enjoyed our Awards Banquet yesterday! It was a wonderful way to end our season and say thank you and best wishes to our seniors!

  • Band Officer Interviews, throughout the day by appointment
  • Cookie Dough Fundraiser Pick-up, 2:00-5:30pm in the Band Room
Tuesday (5/22) 
  • Graduation Band Rehearsal, 2:15-3:30pm
  • Auxiliary Officer Auditions, Start time 4:00pm
Wednesday (5/23) 
  • No after school band/auxiliary activities
Thursday (5/24)
  • No after school band/auxiliary activities
Friday (5/25)
  • Early Dismissal Day, 11:05am
  • Graduation Band Rehearsal, 12:00-1:00pm
  • Healthy Snack, 1:00pm
  • Load Buses, 1:45pm
  • Approximate return to PRHS, 7:00pm
 
 
Cookie Dough Trip Fundraiser:Cookie Dough Orders will be delivered to the school on Monday, May 21st. Orders will be available for pickup in the PRHS Band Room from 2:00-5:30pm. We could still use parent volunteers to help distribute orders. Only one parent has offered to help. Please email Mrs. Robinson at robina2@collierschools.comif you’re available to help.

We’re going to have a short rehearsal on Tuesday, May 22ndfrom 2:15-3:30pm. We are offering healthy snack for this event. Please turn in your $5 and orders by next week Tuesday, May 22nd. Call time for Friday, May 25this 12:00pm in the band room. We will serve healthy snack at 1:00pm and start loading the buses around 1:45pm. The approximate return to PRHS is 7:00pm.

Our Car Wash Fundraiser was pretty successful. Thank you to our parents who helped to make the event possible and thank you to all of our students who volunteered their time Saturday morning/afternoon. 
 
We have our Spring Band Concert on Tuesday this week at 6:30pm in the auditorium. We hope you will all attend to support the concert bands, jazz bands and percussion.
 
The Band Awards Banquet is this week Saturday! A separate email will be sent out with more information.

2018-2019 Marching Pride Drum Major Auditions:Drum Major auditions will be on Wednesday, May 16thin the band room starting at 4:00pm.
 
 
Spring Band Concert:The Spring Band Concert will be on Tuesday, May 15that 6:30pm. This concert will feature all concert bands, jazz bands and percussion. Free admission. Call time for students is 5:30pm in the band room dressed in their concert attire.

2018-2019 Band Camp Dates:Band Camp 2018 will be Monday, July 30th through August 3rd 8:00am-4:00pm and Monday, August 6th and Tuesday, August 7th 8:00am-4:00pm and Wednesday, August 8th through August 10th 1:00-8:30pm. Please note that all students are starting on Monday, July 30th!

Call time will be 1:00pm for students. We will be busing students to and from Germain Arena. More information will be provided when it’s received.
