Congratulations to our graduating Class of 2021! Thank you once again for all of your hard work and dedication for the past 4 years. We will miss all of you and wish you all the best of luck as you start this new chapter!
 
Thank you to all students who performed in the 2021 PRHS Graduation Ceremony. It was great to bring back the tradition of graduation band for this year’s seniors.
 
This is the last call for commitment forms and fees for the 2021-2022 Marching Pride season. Information for the 2021-2022 Marching Pride season has been posted on the band website: https://www.prhsbands.org/2021-2022-info.html. Fees can be paid by check, money order, or credit card. Instructions on how to pay by credit card are attached to this email. Please contact Mrs. Robinson if you need more time or if your plans for next year have changed. We will only write positions on the field for students who have turned in their commitment forms and fees.
 
We will have our last Drumline Camp before break this week on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00pm in the band room.
 
Marching Pride Officers for the 2021-2022 season are reminded that their contracts are due by 2:15pm this Wednesday.
 
Mrs. Robinson will start to collect school-owned instruments this week. Please see below for more details.
 
This Week’s Schedule:
 
Tuesday (6/1)
  • Drumline Camp, 5:00-7:00pm

  • Marching Pride Officer Contracts are due
Thursday (6/3)
  • CMS Band Concert in the auditorium, 4:30pm
 
School Owned Instrument: Mrs. Robinson will start to collect all school owned instruments this week. Students who are returning to the Marching Pride next year are allowed to keep their instruments over the summer, as long as they make arrangements with Mrs. Robinson. Virtual students can either return their instruments on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00pm, drop off their instruments during the school day through front reception, or return their instruments when they come to school for their final exams.
 
Final Exams: PRHS will have final exams periods 1, 3, 5 on Wednesday, June 9th and final exams for periods 2, 4, and 6 on Thursday, June 10th. Per PRHS, all students will be taking exams with their classroom teachers ON CAMPUS during the designated time. ALL STUDENTS will be on campus for finals. Lunch periods will be during 3rd and 4th period exams. Students who have their final exam with Mrs. Robinson or Mr. Bigler during 3rd or 4th period will have “B” lunch. The final exam schedule was sent via email.

The 2021-2022 Marching Pride Officer results are now posted: https://www.prhsbands.org/student-leadership.html. Congratulations to those who were selected. Thank you to all students who applied for an officer position! This is always an extremely difficult process due to the high volume of qualified applicants. There will be a MANDATORY MEETING for ALL 2021-2022 Officers on WEDNESDAY, MAY 26TH at 3:15pm in the band room. Students will receive their officer contracts at this meeting. If you are not able to attend this meeting, please contact Mrs. Robinson.
 
Commitment forms and fees for the 2021-2022 Marching Pride season are now past due. Band Awards: This is the last call for any corrections for band awards. Please return any trophies that need to be corrected to Mrs. Robinson on Monday, May 24th. Virtual students who would like to pick up their awards can do so on Wednesday, May 26th between 2:15-3:15pm.
 
Drumline Camps: We are holding drumline camps on May 18, 25, and June 1st for all members of the 2021 Percussion Section. All students are expected to attend. The camps will be held from 5:00-7:00pm in the band room. Students should dress comfortable and wear gym shoes as they may do some work outside. 
 
Graduation Band (Wed. 5/26 and Fri. 5/28): All non-graduating band students will perform in the 2021 PRHS Graduation Ceremony. We will rehearse on Wednesday, May 26th from 2:15-3:15pm in the band room. Call times on Friday, May 28th will be 7:30am. Students will be done by 11:00am. Attire is a black mask, a band t-shirt, black or khaki pants/shorts—no holey jeans, sweat pants, or athletic shorts/pants. Students are encouraged to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.

Last week was a busy week with Auxiliary auditions, the Spring Band Concert, and the Band Awards Ceremony!

Thank you to all who came to our events to support our students and thank you seniors for a wonderful 4 years!

Students who were not able to attend the Band Awards Ceremony will receive their awards in class on Monday. Virtual students can pick-up their awards after school on Tuesday or Thursday from 4:00-4:30pm.

Senior family pictures have been posted on Facebook and Instagram.

If any part of your awards was incorrect, please notify Mrs. Robinson and she will make the corrections.

Commitment forms and fees for the 2021-2022 Marching Pride season are due tomorrow, May 17th. On Monday, senior band students will return all school owned instruments can clean out their instrument storage areas.

2021-2022 Drum Major, Captain, and Section Leader auditions are this week. More information can be found below.

Senior Instrument Return & Storage Clean-out (Mon. 5/17): All seniors must return their school owned instruments and clean out their storage areas on Monday, May 17th. This will serve at the seniors’ final exam. If students are not in class on Monday, they will have to stop by at another day later in the week.

Captain and Section Leader Auditions (Tues. 5/18 and Thurs. 5/20): Brass and Auxiliary Captain and Section Leader Interviews will start at 2:15pm on Tuesday, May 18th. Brass interviews will be in Room 833 and Auxiliary interviews will be in the Band Room. Woodwind and Percussion Captain and Section Leader Interviews will take place in 833 starting at 2:15pm on Thursday, May 20th. Please arrive to your interview early to ensure that the schedule stays on time. If you missed the deadline to sign up for an audition, please contact Mrs. Robinson no later than Monday, May 17th so that she can add you. Please check Canvas for more information. 

Drum Major Auditions (Wed. 5/19): Drum Major Auditions will be held in the band room starting at 2:15pm on Wednesday, May 19th. Times listed on the schedule are approximated times. All graduating senior officers and students applying for an officer position for the 2021-2022 school year are invited to attend the conducting portion of the audition, but you must be able to stay for the entire time. Please check Canvas for more information.
