Congratulations to our Marchers of the Week:David Hernandez-Lora (woodwind), Ahsiya Cumberbatch (brass), Cameron Rimmer (percussion), Darnelle Bonne-Annee (auxiliary), and Mikel Marante (officer). Congratulations to our Section of the Week, the Saxophone Section led by Section Leaders Alex Hernandez and Lenny Feliciano! 
 
We’d like to thank all of our parents who gave their time as a chaperone or truck crew member with last Friday’s football game at Bishop Vero! Please visit the PRHS Band Website to learn how you can become a Marching Pride Volunteer for concessions, chaperoning, and truck crew.
 
Cheesecake Fundraisers are due tomorrow (Mon. 9/9). Our first Band Booster Meeting of the year is also tomorrow (Mon. 9/9) in the band room at 7:00pm. The Band Boosters are holding another Spirit Night at Culver’s this Wednesday from 5:00-8:00pm. We have another Away Football Game this Friday at Naples High School, call is 4:45pm. Healthy Snack will be served in the Band Room at 4:00pm. Please also don’t forget that we have a Saturday rehearsal from 9:00am-4:00pm this week. 
 
IMPORTANT REQUEST: Parents, when coming to pick-up your students on evenings when we have an away game, please keep the area outside of the band room clear for our truck crew and students. The best place to wait is in the car loop area by the flagpole. If you choose to wait in the faculty parking lot, please wait in a parking spot. We typically travel with 3-4 trailers for all the student instruments and equipment and the area outside the band room doors is needed for those vehicles. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

Saturday (9/14)
  • Marching Band Rehearsal, 9:00am-4:00pm
 
 
Cheesecake Fundraiser (Due Mon. 9/9): Orders are due on Monday. The absolute last day to turn in this fundraiser is Wed. 9/11. The tentative delivery date is October 7-11. This fundraiser is completely optional; it is not a Band Booster Fundraiser. The purpose of this fundraiser is to give families an opportunity to raise money for this year’s Disney Trip. The profits from this fundraiser can only be used towards this year’s band trip. It is not an option to keep a “balance” for future trips. Profits that are not used towards this year’s trip will turn into a donation to the PRHS Band Program.
 
Band Booster Meeting (Mon. 9/9): The Band Boosters are holding their first meeting of the year at 7:00pm in the band room. All parents are encouraged to attend. We discuss fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, the Disney Band Trip, and other upcoming band booster projects and events at these meetings. 
 
Auxiliary Pep Rally Rehearsals (Tuesdays & Thursdays): The auxiliary team is holding rehearsals for their upcoming Pep Rally performance, which is on October 25th. All officers and dance students are required to attend. All color guard students are encouraged to attend. Auditions will be held on October 1st. 
 
Marching Band After School Rehearsals (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday): Tuesday’s rehearsal will be in the stadium this week. This Thursday’s rehearsal will be back field and we’re asking all band students to wear a white t-shirt and all auxiliary a black t-shirt. Saturday’s rehearsal will be from 9:00am-4:00pm in the stadium.All band students are asked to wear a white t-shirt and auxiliary is asked to wear black. We will break for lunch from 11:30am-12:15pm. We plan on adding a huge chunk of the show during Saturday’s rehearsal. Students who miss the rehearsal will not be allowed to perform until they learn the new material. 
 
Away Game at Naples HS (Fri. 9/13): Healthy snack will be served in the band room at 4:00pm. The call time for all students is 4:45pm. We will be in full uniform this week. All band students will wear this year’s black band t-shirt, this year’s green marching band shorts, tall solid black socks, and marching band shoes. All auxiliary students will wear this year’s pregame uniform, tights, this year’s black outdoor auxiliary shoes, earrings, full make-up and hair. The approximate return to PRHS is 10:30pm. Please check the PRHS Band Twitter and Facebook Page for updates throughout the evening. 
 
Alternate Travel Requests: These forms are due to Mrs. Robinson by Tuesday morning for this week’s event and can be found here. 
 
Culver’s Spirit Night (Wed. 9/11): The Band Boosters are holding their monthly Culver’s Spirit Night this Wednesday from 5:00-8:00pm. Student volunteers can sign-up in the band room this week. Parent volunteers should contact Mrs. Cary Rojas at crojas9871@me.com. Please help to spread the word! We want as many people as possible to come and eat at Culver’s this Wednesday. 
 
MBI & Band Show Program Ads (Due 10/7): The Band Boosters selling program ads for this year’s Collier County Band Show and Marching Band Invitational. PRHS Bands is hosting the Band Show on Tuesday, October 15th and our MBI on Saturday, November 2nd. Program ads and messages will be seen by over 500 spectators at both events. Ads may contain business information, coupon incentives, or they can even be used as a place to honor or cheer on your favorite Marching Pride student! Forms are available here. All ads are due by October 7th and should be sent to robina2@collierschools.com. 
 
Disney Trip Payments (Due Fri. 9/27): It is not too late to sign up for the Disney Band Trip. The final deadline to sign up for the trip is September 27th. Park tickets will be ordered in the end of September. Students will not be able to sign-up for the trip after the tickets are ordered. 
 
2019-2020 Marching Pride Swag: Marching Pride water bottles will be available for purchase during lunch in the band room for $15. The rest of our swag is now available for viewing here. Orders will be collected in the “Band Booster Box” located in the band room.

  • Healthy Snack Distribution (Fri. 9/13) Please email Booster President, Mr. Anthony Rowtie at kb2sfa@yahoo.com if you’re able to help distribute Healthy Snack. 
  • Away Football Game (Fri. 9/13) Please email our Head Chaperone, Ms. Eileen Fuentes at prhschap@gmail.com if you’re able to help with chaperoning, concessions, or truck crew. Parents are reminded that we’re only allotted a certain number of parent volunteers per game. Parents who are assigned to volunteer will receive an email.
