We have our first home game this Thursday night! To prepare for the game we have our first full band rehearsals on Monday and Tuesday night from 6:00-8:00pm, weather permitting. If there is rain, rehearsals will NOT be cancelled, we will just go into small group sectionals in covered areas of the campus. If rehearsals or performances are ever cancelled, Mrs. Robinson will send out a message via email, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

We’d like to thank Frisco’s Catering for sponsoring this week’s meal for our Marching Pride! Meal orders were taken during class last week Friday. The meal will include a sandwich, chips, and a drink. Students do not have to take this meal, but it is their only option if they want to eat at the game. Students will not have the opportunity to visit the concession stand during the game and parents will not be allowed to visit students in the stands. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Tuesday (9/15)
  • Full Marching Band Rehearsal, 6:00-8:00pm
Thursday (9/17)
  • Home Game vs. Naples HS, Call 5:30pm
Friday (9/18)
  • No School, Virtual Learning Day for Students, Professional Learning Day for Teachers


Students who are missing a band/auxiliary/jazz band class on their schedule: The counselors have posted a link on the Guidance Dept. Canvas, which allows students to request a schedule change. Please submit your requests though the provided link on Canvas.


Information for all Virtual Band and Auxiliary Students:  All virtual students (synchronous and asynchronous) should be logging in to their band/auxiliary/jazz band class every day. Asynchronous students who are not able to log in to class on a daily basis will have to turn in a video of their playing/dancing/spinning to earn their daily participation grade. Please email Mrs. Robinson if you have any questions.  


Physical Exams & Required Forms: Students will not be allowed to participate without submitting the following on AthleticClearance.com. These forms are required before students can attend any after school practice or performance.
  • Proof of Medical Insurance
  • Physical Form
  • Consent and Release from Liability Certificate
  • Assumption of Risk and Liability to Coronavirus/COVID-19 Form


Full Marching Band Rehearsal (Mon. 9/14 and Tues. 9/15): All students will after school practice from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday and Tuesday. Please wear the proper practice attire and shoes and please be sure to bring a small towel, bug spray, and plenty of water. Parents are not allowed on campus to watch rehearsals. Specific instructions on where to report for practice were sent via email. 


Home Gave vs. Naples HS (Thurs. 9/17): Our first home game is on Thursday night. The call time for students is 5:30pm. The band room will be closed from 2:30-5:00pm. Students will not be allowed to remain on campus after school. The uniform for band will be band t-shirt, band shorts, short black socks, dark colored gym shoes, music masks, and black bell covers on the instrument. The uniform for auxiliary will be band t-shirt, black leggings, tights, dark colored gym shoes, music masks, high slicked back ponytail for hair, and black smokey eye for make-up. We will be distributing band shirts, shorts, auxiliary leggings, and auxiliary tights during class.


Home Game Ticket Orders: All ticket orders are due to the Activities Office by tomorrow. Please remember that each student is only guaranteed two tickets. Extra tickets may be requested on the form, but they are not guaranteed. Please do not include payment for the extra tickets you request. The District is also streaming all games. Please contact the Activities Office for more information.


How do I know when to pick-up my student after a game? Due to the nature of the game, it’s quite difficult to predict when the games will end. Thursday’s game will start at 7:00pm and will most likely end around 9:30pm. If you are not able to attend the game or watch the game online, please check our PRHS Band Twitter and Facebook page and we will post an update.
