Weekly Update

​Band Pictures should be available online to those who registered. If you are not getting information on how to view and order pictures, please email the photographer at MFernandez@PortraitEFX.com and he can assist you.
 
Several students were still missing their Semester 2 contracts on Canvas. Please be reminded that all students must turn in their Semester 2 Contract, regardless if you care for the grade or not. Please turn in your late contracts by this evening.

• Jazz MPA Dress Rehearsals, During class

Tuesday (2/23)

• Jazz MPA Performance Recordings, During class
• Drumline Club, 4:30-6:30pm
• Dance Practice, 4:30-6:30pm
• Varsity Guard Dress Rehearsal, 4:30-6:30pm

Wednesday (2/24)

• Drumline Club, 4:30-6:30pm
• JV Guard Rehearsal, 4:30-6:30pm

Thursday (2/25)

• Early Dismissal Day
• 9-10 All County Honor Band Rehearsal, 6:00-7:00pm at GCHS (select students)
• 11-12 All County Honor Band Rehearsal, 7:30-8:30pm at GCHS (select students)

 
Concert Band After School Rehearsals: After school rehearsals will begin next week. All woodwind and brass students will be required to wear their music masks at these rehearsals. Students who do not have a music mask will have to purchase one for $15. Percussion students are required to wear a mask as well, but they are not required to wear the “music mask.”
 
District Jazz MPA: The jazz bands have a “dress rehearsal” for MPA in class on Monday. Their MPA recordings will be made on Tuesday, February 23rd during class. The recordings will be made available for parents on the band website after they have been submitted to FBA.
 
Varsity Guard Dress Rehearsal (Tues. 2/23): Varsity Guard will have a dress rehearsal this Tuesday from 4:30-6:30pm. At the end of this rehearsal, they will record a performance for this Saturday’s virtual competition.  
 
All County Honor Band Rehearsals (Thurs. 2/25): Students who are participating in this year’s All County Honor Bands are reminded that they have their first practice this Thursday night at Gulf Coast High School. Please check Canvas for more information on the music.
