What a great Homecoming week! Congratulations to our Marching Pride students who made the Homecoming Court and thank you to all who participated in Spirit Week!

We also had a very successful 8th Grade Band Night where we hosted nearly 90 middle school band students from Corkscrew and Cypress Palm Middle School! We hope to see all of you again next year!

Congratulations to the Marching Pride on winning Best Visual, General Effect, Percussion, Auxiliary, and Drum Major in Class 5A at the Lehigh Lightning Tournament of Bands! The Marching Pride placed 2nd in Class 5A and 3rd over the 13 other bands who competed. We are very proud of your continued progress and hard work. We look forward to our next competition, which is this Saturday at Naples High School! Call time for the band will be 1:00pm. More details will be sent out in a separate email.

This week’s Marchers of the Week are Johnathan Ramirez-Santiago (woodwind), Justin Luque (brass), Caleb Beatty (percussion), Vivienne Briley (auxiliary), and Anna Hudson (officer).

This week’s Section of the Week is our Mellophone Section, led by Section Leaders Blake Waligora and Daniel Ramirez-Santiago. Congratulations to everyone and please keep up the good work!

Lastly, we’d like to thank all our parents who volunteered to work during our Homecoming/8th Grade Band Night game and/or Lehigh Competition. We could not function without our parent volunteers working concessions, transporting our equipment, and helping to watch our students. Thank you for your continued time, effort, and support!

Alternate Travel Requests: If you require alternate travel for your student for this week, the form is due to Mrs. Robinson by Wednesday, October 13th so that the form can be approved by Dr. Walcott. The Alternate Travel Form can be found on the band website under the “Students” tab at: https://www.prhsbands.org/2021-2022-info.html. Students who do not travel back to the school with the band will be responsible for making arrangements to have their instrument/equipment and uniform returned to the school. Just a reminder, as stated on the form, Mrs. Robinson can only release students to their parents and legal guardians.

We have only 1 home game left, but we are also offering concessions at the District Marching MPA event, which is hosted at PRHS this year.
