Congratulations to the 2019-2020 Auxiliary Team! Please remember that your commitment forms and fees are due this Monday. We look forward to working with you all next season! 
 
This week we have the Spring Band Concert on Tuesday, Drum Major Auditions on Wednesday, and the Band Banquet on Friday!
 
The band room will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday due to testing. Students can continue to store their instruments in room 833.
 
 
This Week’s Schedule:
 
Monday (5/13)
  • 2019-2020 Auxiliary Commitment Forms & Fees are due
  • 2019-2020 Band & Auxiliary Officer Applications & Contracts are due
  • Pep Rally Bell Schedule 
  • Moving On/Moving Up Ceremony, 1:15pm
  • Spring Band Concert Dress Rehearsal, 2:15-5:30pm
  • Senior Awards Night, 6:30pm
Tuesday (5/14)
  • Band room is closed due to testing
  • Senior Finals Exams, Periods 1, 3, and 5
  • Drum Major Clinic, 2:15-3:30pm
  • Spring Band Concert, Call 5:30pm, Performance 6:30pm
Wednesday (5/15)
  • Krispy Kreme Donut orders are due
  • Senior Final Exams, Periods 2, 4, and 6
  • Drum Major Auditions, 4:30-7:00pm
Thursday (5/16)
  • Senior Final Exams, Periods 7 and any make-ups
  • Last day for Seniors to return school owned instruments and band lockers
  • Graduation Band, 2:15-3:30pm
Friday (5/17)
  • Band Awards Banquet, 6:00pm
 
 
Senior Final Exams: All seniors are required to return their lockers and/or school owned instruments by this week Thursday. Seniors who fail to return these items will receive an “F” as their final exam grade. Please clean out your lockers and return your school owned instruments to Mrs. Robinson. 
 
2019-2020 Band & Auxiliary Commitment Forms and Fees: All students interested in joining the Marching Pride for the 2019-2020 school year are reminded to turn in their commitment forms and fees ASAP. Students who do not turn in their band commitment forms and fees risk losing a position on the field. Please email Mrs. Robinson if you have any questions or concerns. 
 
2019-2020 Jazz Band Audition: We are still looking for students interested in playing piano, guitar or bass. Please email Mrs. Robinson if you’re interested. 
 
Spring Band Concert Dress Rehearsal (Mon. 5/13): All concert bands will have a combined dress rehearsal from 2:15-5:30pm. Students do not need to wear their concert attire for this rehearsal, but they do need to be in attendance for the entire time.  
 
Drum Major Workshops (Tues. 5/14): We are holding an additional Drum Major Workshop on Tuesday after school from 2:15-3:30pm. This workshop is only for students trying out for Drum Major. We will give additional coaching for the conducting portion of the audition and students will sign up for their audition position. 
 
Spring Band Concert (Tues. 5/14): PRHS Bands will be holding their final concert of the year. The concert will feature all 4 concert bands, 2 jazz bands, drumline, and the Marching Pride. All are encouraged to attend. Call time for students is 5:30pm in the band room. The concert will start at 6:30pm in the auditorium. There is free admission and the band boosters will be selling concessions and band swag. 
 
Krispy Kreme Fundraiser (Due 5/15): All orders are due this Wednesday, May 15th. All students in Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds are expected to sell at least two boxes. All other students are expected to sell at least one box. Please do your part in supporting the PRHS Band Boosters. 
 
Graduation Band (Thurs. 5/16): All non-graduating band students are required to perform for the 2019 PRHS Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 24th. Students who have siblings who are graduating will travel with the band to Hertz Arena and may leave with their families if they complete an alternate travel form. To prepare for this performance, we will have two after school rehearsal on Thurs. 5/16 (2:15-3:45pm) and Thurs. 5/23 (2:30-4:00pm) Students will wear their concert attire for this performance.  
 
2019 Band Awards Ceremony & Banquet (Fri. 5/17): The Band Awards Ceremony will start at 6:00pm in the auditorium and end before 8:00pm. We will have pizza, fries and ice cream for the students in the cafeteria until 9:30pm. More information will be sent through a separate email.
