We hope that you are all doing well. We are definitely looking forward to seeing our students again on Thursday!
*New* We have just been informed that this Friday’s game is now an AWAY GAME at Gulf Coast High School. 8th Grade Band Night and Dancing Cubs was moved to next week’s home game against Immokalee High School (Fri. 10/14). There are plans to try to reschedule the game against Naples HS. We will share that information when it’s received. Our Band Boosters are extending the Krispy Kreme Fundraiser. Orders are now due by this Friday, October 7th. We will announce the delivery date when it’s given by Krispy Kreme. Money raised from this fundraiser will go towards the November payment. As you may or may not know, Lee County Schools are closed for all next week, which unfortunately means the Lehigh Lightning Tournament of Bands has been cancelled. On Saturday, we will have a marching band rehearsal in the backfield from 8:00am-2:00pm. Please be prepared with water, sunscreen, and a bagged lunch. Here's what you need to know for our upcoming events. This Week’s Schedule: Monday (10/3)
*New* Away Game at Gulf Coast HS (Fri. 9/30): This week’s game is an away game at Gulf Coast High School! Healthy Snack will be at 4:00pm. Call time for students is 4:30pm. This Friday, band students will wear their full marching band uniform and auxiliary will wear their pregame uniform! Underneath their uniform, all band students will wear this year’s green Marching Pride shirt, this year’s black marching band shorts, tall black crew socks, and marching band shoes. Auxiliary students will wear their pregame top, pregame leggings, tights, black auxiliary shoes, earrings, and full hair and makeup. Auxiliary students will not wear their show uniforms this week. All students are expected to travel together to and from Gulf Coast HS via school bus. The game starts at 7:00pm and tickets are available on gofan.co. Please be prepared to pick-up your student around 10:30pm. Students will text and call their rides when they leave GCHS and then again when we are close to approaching PRHS. *New* Third Quarter Break at Gulf Coast HS: All students will eat during their 3rd quarter break, but that will not be until after 8:00pm. Students will have to bring money to purchase their meals at GCHS. These meals are not included in the band fee. We have not received a list of what they offer at concessions. We advise that students have at least $10-15 to spend at concessions. *New* PLEASE READ Game Day Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up: For Friday, please drop-off and pick-up your student in the main loop by the flagpole. Please do not enter the Faculty Parking Lot, as we use this area to load and unload the trailers. Auxiliary is asked to wear a pink shirt with black bottoms. Please remember to bring your jug of water! There will be a lunch break at 11:30am. All students will have to pack their own lunch, just like band camp. This rehearsal will be graded, and all students are expected to attend. Students who do not attend will have to complete a make-up assignment by Thursday, October 13th in order to perform at the Naples Competition. If this make-up assignment is not completed with a passing grade by 10/13, students will be suspended from the Home Game Performance on 10/14 and the Naples Competition on 10/15. Krispy Kreme Fundraiser (Due Fri. 10/7): Our Band Boosters are holding their annual Krispy Kreme Fundraiser! Students have the option to sell boxes of donuts and/or digital coupons. This is also a general fundraiser for our program, so we’re asking all students to participate. Students who are not going to Texas will help raise money for marching band season expenses. There are separate instructions on how to sell digital coupons online and then there is a separate order form for those who wish to sell boxes of donuts.
