We hope everyone enjoyed Homecoming week at The Ridge! Thank you to all of our students who participated in Spirit Week!
CCPS College & Career Night will be on Monday, September 18th at Golden Gate High School from 5:30-7:30pm. Since we know that many parents and students are going to want to attend this important event, we’re going to reschedule the Disney Band Trip Meeting to Monday, October 2nd. The Band Boosters are still holding their September meeting on Monday, September 18 at 7:00pm in the band room.
Krispy Kreme Fundraiser orders and payments are due this Monday. We are rehearsing on Tuesday and Thursday this week; Thursday’s rehearsal will be in the back practice field. Friday is our first away game of the season! We’re really looking forward to traveling with the team to Lely High School. On Saturday, select students will audition for All-State at Corkscrew Middle School. Best of luck to Jonathan Eysaman, Matt Ford, Santiago Nieto, Jonathan Ramirez-Santiago, and Marc Robinson!

Away Game at Lely HS (Fri. 9/22): This week’s game is an away game at Lely High School. Call time for students is 4:00pm. The band room will remain open after school for all Marching Pride students. Band students will wear full uniform with this year’s gray Marching Pride shirt, this year’s black marching band shorts, tall solid black crew socks, and marching band shoes. Auxiliary students will wear their pregame uniform, tights, black auxiliary shoes, earrings, and full hair and makeup. All students are expected to travel together to and from Lely HS via school bus. The game starts at 7:00pm and tickets are available on gofan.co. Please be prepared to pick-up your student around 10:30pm. Students will be instructed to text and call their rides when they leave LHS and then again when we are close to approaching PRHS.
Third Quarter Break at Lely HS (Fri. 9/22): All students will have the opportunity to visit the LHS concession stand during their 3rd quarter break. Students will have to bring money to purchase their meals at LHS. We advise that students have at least $10-15 in cash. We have not received a menu of what they offer at concessions. We strongly advise that students eat prior to leaving for LHS. In the past, visiting concession stands have not been able to accommodate all our students.
PLEASE READ Game Day Student Drop-off and Pick-up: For Friday, please drop-off and pick-up your student in the main loop by the flagpole. All students who drive will park in the Student Parking Lot. Please do not go into the Faculty Parking Lot. Our trailers load and unload in the Faculty Parking Lot. Thank you for your cooperation.
Alternate Travel Requests (Due by Wed. 9/20): If a parent needs to pick up their student from a band event, they must turn in Alternate Travel Request Form. More information and instructions are provided on the form.
Auxiliary Show Uniforms: We have started the process of issuing out show uniforms to all auxiliary students. These uniforms must be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent and line dried. There are no extra uniforms and there is no way to replace uniforms that are lost or damaged. All students will be required to return the show uniforms at the end of the marching band season, as the cost is not covered by their band fee.
