Weekly Update

​Last week was a huge success, first with the Naples Christmas Parade and then with two great Winterfest performances. We’re so proud of all our students. Hopefully, you were able to make it to some of last week’s events.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Boosters’ silent auction and/or to Tri-M’s toy drive for Toys for Tots. Thank you also to our parent volunteers and Band Boosters for helping out with the parade and Winterfest concerts.

This week our Band Boosters are having a Spirit Night at Culver’s on Tuesday from 5:00-8:00pm. This is the Culver’s on Immokalee just east of Collier Blvd. Our jazz bands and drumline will be performing. Call time for our student performers is 4:30pm. Please consider coming out. Our Band Boosters will receive a portion of all sales from 5:00-8:00pm.

Cookie Dough and Holiday Fundraiser orders will be available for pick-up after school on Wednesday from 2:00-2:45pm. Please don’t forget to pick-up your orders.

Tri-M will be selling Holiday Music Grams during lunch this week in the band room. Music Grams are $5 and will be delivered to 2nd and 3rd period classes on Friday, December 16th.

To help get the school into the holiday spirit, our jazz bands will be performing in the court yard during lunch on Thursday and Friday.

Make-up Assignments: All missed rehearsals and performances will require a make-up assignment. Instructions on how to request a make-up assignment are posted on Canvas.

Concert Band Attire: It is each band family’s responsibility to order and purchase these uniforms. The hard deadline is February 15, 2023 for our Mid-Year Band Concert and District Concert Band MPA. Jazz Band students will need their concert attire by February 1, 2023. Information is also posted on the band website under the “Students” tab under “2022-2023 Information.” Please contact Mrs. Robinson if you have any questions.

Instrument Repair & Equipment: Our trusted local vendors are Cadence Music and Christman Music. Both vendors can drop off orders and pick-up instruments for repair at PRHS—but parents have to call to make arrangements ahead of time. Instruments will not be picked up unless orders for repair are placed ahead of time. Contact information for Cadence Music and Christman Music can be found on the band website under the “Students” tab.
