Thank you to all of our students and parents who helped with the Middle School MPA and State Auxiliary MPA. Both events were very successful and ran very smoothly!
 
Congratulations to our auxiliary students on a successful State MPA Performance! Our JV Team earned an Excellent rating on their performance and Varsity Guard, Lyrical Dance and Competitive Dance all earned Superior ratings! We also had several soloists perform. The following soloists earned Excellent ratings: Amber Aimaro, Melody Vasquez, Daniela Fernandez, Charlize Irizarry, Abigail Jones, Katie Mead, Mia Casalanguida, and Nyla Irizarry. The following soloists earned Superior ratings: Taylor Crato, Sara Lovos, Laney Diaz, Samantha Rodriguez and Kylie Volkers. Congratulations to all!
 
Please don’t forget that we have our 2018-2019 Marching Pride Informational Meeting this Tuesday, April 3rd! This meeting is for both new and returning members. Check-in will start at 6:15pm at the front of the auditorium and we’ll start the meeting at 6:30pm.

Contacting Mrs. Robinson: Please be sure to send your email messages for Mrs. Robinson to [email protected]. Some parents and students have been emailing a “Charms” email address [email protected]. Mrs. Robinson cannot access messages sent to that email address.
 
 
Auxiliary After School Practices: Starting on Tuesday, April 3rd, all auxiliary after school practices will be combined. All auxiliary students will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm.
 
 
Yankee Candle Pick-Up: Yankee Candle orders will be ready for pick-up at 6:00pm in the auditorium. Students can also pick up their orders on Wednesday after school.
 
 
2018-2019 Marching Pride Informational Meeting: The 2018-2019 Marching Pride Information Meeting will be on Tuesday, April 3rd. This meeting will be for all new and returning students and parents who are interested in joining the band next season. Student volunteers will be needed for this event. Sign-up sheets will be posted in the band room. We hope to see you there!
 
 
Middle School MPA: The PRHS Bands are hosting the District 18 Middle School MPA on Thursday, March 26th in the auditorium. Student and parent volunteers are needed! The event will begin at 2:00pm and go until 8:30pm. Student volunteers will be needed from 1:00-8:30pm. All parents and students are invited to come out and support our middle school bands. Free admission.
 
 
Wind Ensemble After School Rehearsals: Wind Ensemble will continue after school rehearsals on Tuesday, April 10th. After school rehearsals will be on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:45pm.
 
 
2018-2019 Band Camp Dates: Band Camp 2018 will be Monday, July 30th through August 3rd 8:00am-4:00pm and Monday, August 6th and Tuesday, August 7th 8:00am-4:00pm and Wednesday, August 8th through August 10th 1:00-8:30pm. Please save the dates!
 
 
Important Dates to Remember: Please take special note to a few dates on the calendar:
 
  • 2018-2019 Percussion Auditions will be hosted at PRHS on April 17th from 4:30-6:00pm, April 18th 5:00-7:00pm and April 19th 5:00-7:00pm. Students interested in joining next year’s percussion section are required at attend all three days! Please email Mrs. Robinson at [email protected] to register!
  • 2018-2019 Incoming Freshmen Wind Auditions will be hosted at PRHS on April 18th 4:00-6:00pm and April 19th 4:00-6:00pm. These auditions are not required. Incoming freshmen that play a wind instrument may choose to audition into a higher-level band by scheduling a band placement audition. Incoming freshmen who do not audition will automatically be placed into Symphonic Band. To schedule an audition, please email Mrs. Annabelle Robinson at [email protected].
 
 
Upcoming Fundraisers: 
 
  • Krispy Kreme Donuts (Monday 4/9 through Friday 4/13): The Band Boosters will be selling Krispy Kreme Donuts. All band students are expected to sell at least one box. Students who did not participate in the Yankee Candle Fundraiser will be expected to sell at least 2 boxes.
 
 
Parent Volunteers Needed: 
 
  • Middle School Concert Band MPA will be hosted at PRHS on Thursday, April 5th. Please contact Mr. Buddy Rainey at [email protected] if you’re available to help with concessions for this event. The event still will start at 2:00pm and end around 8:00pm. Parents are still needed for this event.
