Marching Pride Update

Thank you for your patience. I know many of you have been waiting for an update. We will be sending out more frequent emails as there are a lot of items that need to be addressed. We’ve decided to make some changes to our upcoming events.
 
Auxiliary Placement Auditions: Postponed till the week of July 27th. See below for details.
 
Percussion Placement Auditions: Postponed till the week of July 27th. See below for details.
 
Leadership Camps originally scheduled on July 24th and 25th: Cancelled. Mrs. Robinson will be inviting all officers to a WebEx Meeting on Friday, July 10th to discuss how we plan to move forward. Invitations will be sent via email.
 
Kick-Off Meeting: This meeting will be virtual via WebEx as visitors are not allowed on campus at this time. Required forms and fees will be collected electronically. Dates and times are TBD. More information will be sent through a separate email.
 
Band Sectionals and Band Camp: To help both students and staff ease into new procedures and practices, we have decided to start with sectionals before having full band camp. This is the new schedule:
 
Brass & Percussion Sectionals                     July 27, 29, and August 3 (8:00-11:00am)
Woodwind & Auxiliary Sectionals                July 28, 30, and August 4 (8:00-11:00am)
Full Band Camp                                           August 5, 6, and 7 (5:30-8:30pm)
 
**Auxiliary and Percussion Placement Auditions will occur during sectionals.
**There will be very specific instructions on how students will arrive to practice and how they will be dismissed from practice. This information will be explained during the Kick-Off Meeting WebEx.
 
Physical Exams & Required Forms: The following forms are required by all students in order to participate in band. Students will not be allowed to participate without submitting the following on AthleticClearance.com.  
  • Proof of Medical Insurance
  • Physical Form
  • Consent and Release from Liability Certificate
  • Assumption of Risk and Liability to Coronavirus/COVID-19 Form
These forms are available through the provided links on the band website. They are also available on when you log into AthleticClearance.com.
 
Concert Band Placements: Mrs. Robinson will re-evaluate all students during sectionals, band camp, and when school resumes.
 
Where can I see all other dates for games, rehearsals, and performances? All of our tentative dates are posted on our band calendar, which is available on our band website: www.prhsbands.org. Instructions on how to sync our calendar with your phone are also provided on the calendar page.
