8th Grade student report time is 5:30pm in the auditorium
This game is a “Pink Out” game. Please wear your Palmetto Ridge pink to support the team and a great cause.
Due to 8th Grade Band Night, the band will have a post game performance of their show “Something Blue.”
The approximate end time is 9:45pm.
Saturday (10/21) CCPS Band Show at Golden Gate HS and Mariner Marching Band Competition, Call 6:45am
The approximate return time to PRHS is 10:30pm.
Game Day Attire:
Winds & Percussion: This year’s green band t-shirt or any PRHS pink t-shirt, gray marching band shorts, black socks that cover the ankle, and marching band shoes. Students will wear this attire underneath their full marching band uniform.
Auxiliary: Performance tank top, performance black shorts, tights, and tan auxiliary shoes. The auxiliary will change into their show uniforms before the end of the game. (This week is a post game performance.)

Auxiliary: Show uniforms. (Auxiliary students will have to arrive Saturday morning with enough time to change into their show uniforms and load the buses by 7:15am.)

Parent Volunteer Parking has been moved to the back of the school. More information will go out from Mrs. Fuentes, Mr. Rainey, and Mr. Figueroa later this week. It’s very important that if you plan on volunteering that you communicate with our chairs. These parents will be giving a list of names to Activities so there is no confusion as to who is volunteering.
Cheesecake Fundraiser:All Cheesecake orders are due by Monday, October 16th. Students will profit 40% from each cheesecake sold. All proceeds will go towards this year’s band trip to Universal Studios. Any extra profits will go towards the PRHS Band Program.
Marching Pride Pink Out Shirts: Mrs. Yates will be passing out the Marching Pride pink shirts on Tuesday after practice in the band room. If you have not paid for your shirt, please bring your payment. There are extra shirts for anyone who is interested in purchasing a shirt.
MBI Parent Volunteer Meeting: The Band Boosters will be holding an informational meeting for any parents who are willing to help with our Marching Band Invitational. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at 6:30pm in the band room. Parents who are unable to attend but interested in helping should email Mrs. Yates at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Saturday, 10/21 CCPS Band Show: The CCPS Band Show has been moved to 9:00am on Saturday, October 21st. The band will perform at Golden Gate High School along with the other six CCPS high school marching bands. There is an admission charge of $7.00 at the gate for all who are interested in attending. (There will be no pre-sale on tickets this year.) Please come out and support the CCPS high school bands at this community event. There will be a separate email with more information.
Mariner Marching Band Competition: Following the Band Show performance, the band will travel the Mariner High School to compete in a marching band competition. All Marching Pride students will receive a healthy snack meal, complimentary of our PRHS Band Boosters. Students will eat these meals on the bus when we leave Golden Gate HS. The band’s first performance will be at 3:00pm. The second performance of the evening will depend on their score and placement at prelims. There is an admission charge at the gate for those of you who are interested in attending. Mariner has not given me the cost of admission, but it’s typically $10.00 for marching band competitions. The approximate return time to PRHS is 10:30pm. There will be a separate email with more information.
MBI Ads: The Band Boosters are selling MBI ads for our Marching Band Invitational on November 4th. This is an opportunity for local businesses to have their advertisement on display at our event. Ads are $30. All families are asked to participate. It would be very beneficial for the band if every family sold at least one ad.
Universal Studios Orlando Band Trip: All students who are interested in attending the trip must be paid in full by Monday, October 23rd. The Cheesecake Fundraiser will start on Wednesday, October 4th.
Important Dates to Remember: Please take special note to a few dates on the calendar:
District Marching Band MPA will be held on Saturday, October 28th at Barron Collier High School.
The Marching Pride Truck or Treat will be on Monday, October 30th in the faculty parking lot from 8:00-8:45pm.
14th Annual PRHS Marching Band Invitational will be held on Saturday, November 4th at Palmetto Ridge High School.
All County Band Auditions will be held on Wednesday, November 8th at Palmetto Ridge High School. Parent volunteers will be needed for this event which will be from 2:30-9:00pm.
The Naples Christmas Parade has been moved to Tuesday, December 12th.
