All after school concert band auditions are cancelled for this week. Our next rehearsal for all concert bands will be on Monday, May 14th. This is the dress rehearsal for the Spring Band Concert!
The band room will not be available to students this week from Tuesday through Friday due to testing. Students will have to store their instruments in the percussion room this week.
Congratulations to the Wind Ensemble for earning all excellent ratings at State MPA! The Wind Ensemble had a wonderful performance and we’re very proud of all of their hard work in preparing for State. We’d also like to thank our parent volunteers who helped with chaperoning and truck crew!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support out auxiliary and percussion students at their Rhythm of the Pride recital. We’re so proud of our students and their accomplishments. Thank you for coming out and celebrating all that they’ve worked on this season. We’d also like to thank all of our parent and student volunteers who helped to run the event!
We have Auxiliary Tryouts for the 2018-2019 season this week. We’re up to over 100 students for auditions. Please remember to email Mrs. Robinson if you’re planning to audition.
Our Car Wash Fundraiser will end this week. All pre-sold tickets must be exchanged by Friday and the car wash will be on Saturday at Fayard Hardware from 9:00am-2:00pm.

New Students:New students who are receiving this email are now registered for our weekly updates. This means that we have received your Yellow New Member Registration Form. This weekly update is sent every Sunday and will include reminders for all of our upcoming events.
Cookie Dough Trip Fundraiser:When a delivery date is determined, Mrs. Robinson will send out a message via email, Facebook and Twitter. This should be announced this week.
Car Wash Trip Fundraiser:We will be selling car wash tickets through Friday, May 11th. All of the profits from pre-sold tickets can be applied towards your student’s 2018 Band Trip to Chicago. Student and parent volunteers will be needed for this fundraiser. Students can sign up to volunteer in the band room. Parents interested in helping, please email Mr. Buddy Rainey at firstname.lastname@example.org. Percussion students are asked to perform at this fundraiser. There will be a sign-up sheet in the band office.
2018-2019 Marching Pride Commitment Forms & Band Fees:Commitment forms and band fees for band students were due last week Thursday, May 3rd. Auxiliary students will turn in their commitment forms and fees by Friday, May 18th. A commitment form has been attached to this email. Please turn in your form and fees ASAP if you have not already done so.
2018-2019 Auxiliary Auditions:We will be holding Auxiliary auditions at PRHS on May 7, 9, and 10 4:00-8:00pm. Students interested in joining next year’s auxiliary section are required at attend all three days! Please email Mrs. Robinson at email@example.com register!
Jazz Band Auditions: Students who are interested in joining jazz band will audition on Tuesday, May 8th. Interested middle school students should email Mrs. Robinson for audition music and an audition time. Current students can pick up audition music and sign up for an audition in the band office.
2018-2019 Marching Pride Drum Major Auditions:Drum Major workshops will continue on May 7thand May 10that 2:15-3:30pm. All students interested in trying for drum major, band captain and section leader are urged to attend. Drum Major auditions will be on Wednesday, May 16thin the band room.
2018-2019 Band Placements:Thank you to all of our incoming freshmen who came to audition! Unfortunately, we won’t be able to post the 2018-2019 band placements until after the commitment forms are turned in on May 3rd. We apologize for the delay.
2018-2019 Band Camp Dates:Band Camp 2018 will be Monday, July 30th through August 3rd 8:00am-4:00pm and Monday, August 6th and Tuesday, August 7th 8:00am-4:00pm and Wednesday, August 8th through August 10th 1:00-8:30pm. Please note that all students are starting on Monday, July 30th!

The Spring Band Concert will be on Tuesday, May 15that 6:30pm. This concert will feature all concert bands, jazz bands and percussion. Free admission. Please save the date!
The 2018 Band Awards Banquetis on Saturday, May 19th. The awards ceremony will start at 4:00pm in the auditorium. The dinner and dance will start at 6:00pm and end at 9:00pm in the cafeteria. Please make sure to RSVP by May 1st. A separate email will be sent for more information.
The 2018 PRHS Graduation Ceremonywill be on Friday, May 25th. All of the non-graduating band students will be performing at this event. More information will be provided when it’s received.
Parent Volunteers Needed:
Band Booster Board Members. Our Band Boosters are looking for parents who are interested in joining the board. Please email Mrs. Yates at firstname.lastname@example.org more information. Our next Booster Meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 14th.
The Band Boosters will be hosting a special lunch for the PRHS Teachers and Staff on Monday, May 7thfor Teacher Appreciation Week. Parent volunteers will be needed to help serve the meals. If you’re available to help, please contact Mrs. Yates at email@example.com.
